“An ensemble to watch – with a collective sound that shimmers and playing that quite simply makes you feel good.”

Robin Sheffield,
General Manager,
Royal Philharmonic Society

Unexpectedly outstanding. I liked the fact that the men talked between pieces as well and gave a bit of background and also a sense of humour. Excellent as a first time visitor!

Trombones! Fantastic – very easy to listen to- ideal for Christmas. I LOVE BRASS!

Wasn’t sure what to expect. However, very impressive ensemble – lovely music arrangements.

Enjoyable event tonight, just right for the
Christmas season

Different ensemble but very enjoyable. Brilliant playing!

Very interesting and varied programme. Amazing showcasing of an instrument normally stuck at the back of the orchestra

They take me back to my Jazz days in the Fifties with Bob Brookmeyer, J J Johnson, Vic Dickenson, Basie etc. They make a nice sound and good arrangements.

Excellent introduction to trombones as a ‘stand alone’ instrument rather than at the back of the orchestra. Such a lovely gentle sound and friendly group.

We did not appreciate how versatile and instrument the trombone is, and especially to hear four in a quartet. The concert showed the range and depth and tone that can be produced. A very good concert.

Wonderful music; interesting programme. What a treat! Very well organised and everyone is so welcoming.
